Summary

Another lovely bottling from our Sessions vineyard block, planted in 1999, the nose shows loads of wild blueberry, dark cherry, wildflowers, raspberry, boysenberry, blood orange and bergamot. Complex and beguiling on the palate, flavors of red cherry, pomegranate, pink grapefruit, granite and redwood forest floor compel another taste. Long and complex on the finish, this Pinot Noir will surely be a favorite whether enjoyed now or after years of cellaring.

This red is fresh in feel, with potpourri and incense notes in front of a core of damson plum, blood orange and bitter cherry fruit. Showing a chalky underpinning and a long, racy finish, this wine's clear objective is precision. Best from 2026 through 2036.— James Molesworth

The 2021 Pinot Noir The Sessions Selection is bright and effusive, with lovely aromatics that make a strong first impression. Crushed rose petal, spice, cedar and new leather are some of the notes that open with coaxing. The 33% whole clusters are nicely judged.
